Folding Bicycles
There are numerous folders on the market, with huge variations in quality, as well as in price. To get genuine foldability (down to an easy to store/carry size) you will have to invest over £700. If you need to spend £300 or less be aware that the cycle really won’t perform as you might wish.
Bromptons
All Bromptons are based on the same design and fold to the same size. Most Brompton
cycles are made to order to the specification you require. There are choices on number of gears, handlebar design, mudguards, carrying capacity, tyres, saddle and many other minor options. We will happily quote for any combination of these. Prices for Bromptons, with various specifications, range from over £700 to well over £1000
particularly for the extra light titanium models.
Ealing Cycles has developed a very close working relationship with Brompton
Cycles over the past 25 years, particularly as they are made so locally (in
Brentford). We have come to appreciate their excellent mechanical features,
their foldability and the faultless back-up service provided by this iconic
cycle brand. Most of our staff own and ride Bromptons, and will happily explain
and advise on their many advantages.
